The Story of A Cleaner, Healthier Home 

Our Story

Absolute Green was born from a personal crisis. Our founder, Karen, experienced a severe asthma attack caused by toxic fumes from common household products, during a home improvement. Her distress was compounded by her love for animals, and concern for the environment. She was determined to find a safer way to clean homes and businesses that wouldn't make everyone sick.  Karen embarked on a journey to create healthy, natural, plant-based cleaning and lifestyle solutions from scratch, using only the best and safest ingredients.

Our Mission

At Absolute Green, our mission is to offer non-toxic, plant-based alternatives to conventional cleaning products. Our  small batch products include everything from cleaners and air fresheners to wood polish and linen/fabric spray—all formulated to be safe for both chemically sensitive individuals and pets. We believe in full ingredient transparency and are committed to making products that are:

Our Philosophy

Our dedication to 100% natural products is matched by our commitment to being responsible global citizens. Ingredients are locally sourced whenever possible. We operate as a small, woman-owned business (WBENC certified) with a team that includes teachers, retirees, students, and local community members. We partner with universities to offer internships focused on sustainability, providing valuable experience while fostering growth within the company.  (Shout out to our Rutgers University/NJ interns!) 

Sustainable Practices

Our manufacturing processes are designed to minimize environmental impact, with 98% of our practices being closed-loop. We prioritize local sourcing and aim to reduce waste at every step. Our eco-friendly packaging includes:

  • Recyclable Plastic Bottles (which can be repurposed into items like fleece jackets or park benches)
  • Biodegradable Packing Peanuts (made from starch and compostable)
  • Corrugated Paper (for wrapping certain products)

In Memory of a Her Father

Our products are created with love and in memory of Karen's father, who passed away just as she was launching the company. He was a great inspiration and you will find a tribute to him on our bottles.
