Our Story
Breathe in, it's all good! Absolute Green was created to provide natural and healthy alternatives to cleaning and household products. Our Founder Karen, did a home improvement project and ended up in the ER with an asthma attack. During cleanup, the accumulation of toxic product fumes from all the paints, carpet, and cleaning products along with artificial fragrances overwhelmed her
Being a huge animal lover and concerned about the environment she was determined to make natural plant-based cleaners, air fresheners, wood and fabric sprays for chemically sensitive people and pets.
All Absolute Green products are certified Vegan, Cruelty Free and Woman-Owned Business (WBENC). The Absolute Green cleaners are also certified USDA Biobased. Absolute Green is committed to 100% natural products and is dedicated to full ingredient transparency.
Wanting to learn more about what made her ill, Karen became a LEED approved professional for Commercial Spaces by the US Green Building Council (USGBC). She studied air quality, materials/chemicals and their effects on humans, animals and the environment. Important to her was the landlord responsibility and the choices they make for tenants in their buildings,

Karen comments: I was looking for a natural alternative to the current cleaning options available in stores. I found lots of products with chemicals, toxins, environmentally unfriendly packaging, animal testing, or a combination of all of these. I was looking for a complete lifestyle overhaul, and committed myself to “going green” with ingredients that made sense.
Over ten years ago, I knew I had to create plant-based daily use products that have less impact on our bodies, pets, homes and environment. Using real ingredients to clean and freshen our homes, offices and personal items—with less effort and chemicals—is a good thing. If I can prevent one person from getting sick I did, I know I've done the right thing.
Our Philosophy:
Our commitment to 100% natural products is unwavering—as is our interest in being “good citizens of the world.” We employ students, military, handicapped as well as work with local universities to employ interns to learn about sustainability and grow within the business—from the office to the production line.
Our manufacturing practices are 98% closed loop, with local sourcing and sustainable practices in place with very little waste. Environmentally friendly packaging shows our commitment to doing the right thing. We use plastic bottles that can be recycled and biodegradable packing peanuts, made from starch, which can be composted!
These products are in loving memory of my father ... Karen
