Christmas is a magical time of year filled with happiness and being surrounded by loved ones. This year to save money and cut out pointless waste make your own decorations! Here are some Christmas decorations you can make from recycled items.

Instead of throwing away your Christmas cards or storing them away somewhere where you will never look at them again, reuse them! All you need is a hot glue gun, ribbon, scissors and old Christmas cards! They can be hung on your wall or pinned across a window.
Don’t throw away your bottles, save them to create reindeer decorations! You can either hot glue googly eyes and a red pom pom on the bottle to create a face or use puffy paint to create the eyes and noes. Wrap a brown pipe cleaner below the cap of the bottle bending notches in them to make them look like antlers!
Collect your wine corks and create a decorative wreath out of them! Be creative! All you need is a straw wreath, a hot glue gun with glue sticks, a ribbon, and as many wine corks as you can save.
Remember the days of making paper snowflakes? Use coffee filters instead to save paper!
